NEED INTERNET? B.E.A.D. Program

Groveland Residents:

Michigan is receiving $1.6 billion to upgrade internet infrastructure via the BEAD program (Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Program).   The BEAD program is in the process of identifying unserved locations, which are defined as broadband-serviceable locations that the Broadband DATA Maps show as (a) having no access to broadband service, or (b) lacking access to reliable broadband service (unreliable or slow).    We need your help to ensure the accuracy of the BEAD Map for our area.  YOUR voice is the key to securing a share of the dollars for our area.  Make sure your household counts, get involved and avoid being left behind in this major funding program.

If you feel your household internet service is unserved or underserved, please take a few minutes to “Start the Challenge”.  This testing challenge should be done on a Chromebook, laptop, iPad, desktop, Macbook or similar device and NOT a mobile device (cellphone).
